The leading Serbian computer magazine PC PRESS dedicates an article to Dominion Voting Systems in Belgrade.
Goran Obradovic, Vice President of Dominion Voting Systems and President Dominion Voting Systems Serbia explains the working dynamics in the article.
‘Goran Obradović, explained the not-so-simple demands placed on the team: ‘The devices we have to design sometimes require a lot of analysis and effort. In addition to having to meet specific requirements submitted by a group of citizens, we also have to strictly ensure that the new voting method and device conforms to all standards and is integrated into our system. In 2016 we will mainly expand two parts of the development centre. Firstly, the application and system testing section, with a special focus on integration testing. The second part is for organising projects and defining user requirements (project managers and business analysts). There are currently two open positions for testing (QA Analyst)’.
Indicating that the operation of the development and creation team is delegated to Belgrade, Serbia. From there, they distribute all information to their Canadian and American headquarters via VPN interconnected networks.
‘Since the Belgrade office is dedicated to product development, it is possible to move from one development team to another and therefore work on different products and different technologies,’ says Goran Obradovic.
Goran Obradovic explains some more details… ‘All offices are on a single VPN, even all phones in all offices are available as local, because we have to work together a lot and the exchange of information and experiences between teams is very intense.’
‘In the next issue we will present voting systems that are used today in North America (USA and Canada), but also in some countries in Latin America and Asia. These are products of the Canadian company Dominion Voting, which has been developing its systems here in Belgrade for more than 10 years. Products such as EMS (Election Management System), as well as voting machines from the ImageCast series (ImageCast Precinct, ImageCast Central, ImageCast Evolution, ImageCast Remote and Imagecast X), have been produced in more than 120,000 units and will be used in elections this year in the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mongolia…’.
