A company that had made small elections in 2005 opens an office in Serbia, maintaining representation in the country.
In 2008, during the Sequoia crisis caused by the case of its owners Smartmatic, it acquires the contract for the New York City election, which allows it to enter the American market.
In 2010, Smartmatic announces the acquisition of Sequoia Voting Systems, a company that had transferred its New York City contract in 2008.
The purchase allows it to acquire all the inventory, patents and software designed for Sequoia’s solutions in the United States, with which it obtains representation in 301 counties in 16 states, just as Smartmatic did when it acquired Sequoia 5 years ago.
In addition to this purchase, it acquired the premier Diebold line from ES&S, which allows it to cover a significant number of counties and lead the elections market in the United States.
In its expansion process, it decided to open its main data center in Belgrade, Serbia, with the Serbian state-related company Roaming Network.
Roaming Network is Huawei’s main partner for Serbia and the Balkan countries.
In 2013, after multiple complaints of failures of its equipment used by Smartmatic in negotiations and mergers of its software, it has to deal with a lawsuit by Smartmatic, a lawsuit that they win in court and can be awarded the contract for the elections of Puerto Rico and Mongolia.
In 2015 Goran Obradovic, vice president of Dominion Voting Systems and president of Dominion in Belgrade Serbia is recognized in his country as an election software development company for the United States and they highlight his work mystique.
In 2020, multiple complaints are filed in the United States for the case of alleged election fraud by lawyers and American political personalities.
