After the support received from Smartmatic for the National Electoral Council in the regional and municipal elections in 2017, what seemed like a divorce turned into a solid relationship that we do not know how it is still working.
Smartmatic denounced that in the National Constituent Assembly election the National Electoral Council manipulated the participation results, but continued collaborating with the Venezuelan regime by sending an engineer to deliver the SAES software managed by Smartmatic.
Juan Valera, who participated in the audit of the 2017 regional elections, Smartmatic’s engineer reappeared in the audit minutes to deliver the modified software ready to be installed in the voting machines.
The intermediary company for the execution of the elections is ExCle, an Argentinean company in charge of the integration of fingerprint devices to the voting machines.

1. Why did Smartmatic provide the Venezuelan dictatorship its software for the third fraudulent presidential election?
2. Did Smartmatic receive additional payments through third parties to avoid a direct relationship with the National Electoral Council (CNE)?
3. Did the regime exercise influence on Smartmatic through its partial ownership of Bizta, which designs Smartmatic software?
4. Did the Venezuelan government’s stake influence Smartmatic to support the regime in its plans?
5. If Smartmatic publicly denounced the Venezuelan regime for manipulating the electoral software, why is it still collaborating in the government’s sham elections?
