Jorge Rodriguez, the Venezuelan official who issued the 2003 Bizta-Smartmatic contract to run the 2004 elections, is appointed Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information.
He is the top official responsible for government communications, including all telecommunications.
He will hold the position until September 4, 2020.
