Low voter turnout and denunciations from the opposition mark the July 30 elections for a constituent assembly that will draft a dictatorial constitution for the Maduro regime.
Two prosecutors requested the annulment of the National Constituent Assembly, according to a statement on the social network Twitter.
“The request of the prosecutors is based on the alleged commission of crimes during the electoral process”, explained the Prosecutor’s Office.
Smartmatic is the company that for more than 10 years has carried out the electoral elections in the country and the multiple accusations of fraud fall on the SAES technology, technology created in Venezuela for the elections of the government of Hugo Chávez and of which it was a major financier under the figure of Omar Montilla, director of Bizta, sister company of Smartmatic, which has the same shareholders.
