Smartmatic files an urgent motion for reconsideration requesting the State Elections Commission (SEC) to halt the imminent negotiations with Dominion Voting Systems for 16 million dollars.

Luis Vecchi indicates that the contractual relationship with Dominion does not restrict it from doing business with Puerto Rico “since we are the first distributor of Dominion’s technology.”

“The certification that was granted to Dominion by the EAC before the CEE is extended to our company by its own legal nature,” he says.

1. Is the EAC certification granted to Dominion as the first distributor?

2. Is the technology licensed from Dominion integrated into Smartmatic’s systems?

3. Does Smartmatic share technology directly or indirectly with Dominion Voting Systems?

4. Was the technology inherited from Dominion’s purchase of Sequoia Voting Systems?

5. Was the software that Smartmatic’s regional president Luis Vecchi mentions the same software used in the Philippine elections?
