Sequoia Voting Systems CEO Jack A. Blaine admits in response to a question that Sequoia still uses Smartmatic software and will continue to market it in the United States.

Blaine makes the admission in a letter to Chicago Board of Elections Chairman Langdon Neal, in response to questions from Chicago Alderman Burke. Main points:

  • Burke question #4: “Do Sequoia voting machines used in Cook County use any software which was supplied by Smartmatic or its affiliates?”
  • Blaine, for Sequoia: “Yes … The Edge2Plus and HAAT [software] …. Sequoia will continue to provide products, upgrades and accessories to the U.S. market based on products the company developed in cooperation with Smartmatic during the time the company owned Sequoia.”

2. Is Sequoia admitting that Venezuela-commissioned Smartmatic software would continue to be used in its machines for American elections?
